Barnitz United Methodist Church has active ministries for children & youth. We have Safe
Sanctuary Policies in effect that include screen everyone working with our children & youth.

Children & Youth are an active part in the orverall life of the congregation. Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School, Camping programs, Outreach activities, Fellowship events and many other programs include children & youth as an active element in our congregational life. Children's Ministry: Each Wednesday evening throughout the school year, children from
3 years old through 5th grade are invited to be part of "Tweeners". We have snacks,
lessons, activities, crafts and fun together.
The children are separated into five different classes with two etachers per class. Solid Bible based teaching is a strength of this ministry. Words such as unconditional love, grace, charity, faith and hope are what children experience and learn here. Tweeners meet at Mt. Zion Church from 6:30 - 8:00 PM everh Wednesday from September through May. We have special parties. On average, 25 - 30 children attend each week. |
Youth Ministry: All youth from 6th through 12th grades are invited to be a part of
this exciting, diverse and multi-faceted ministry. The Barnitz, Mt.Zion, Hickorytown and Letort
United Methodist Churches cooperate in this comprehensive ministry.
The Youth Group meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 PM year-round at Mt. Zion UMC by PPG Industries (1 mile from Mt. Holly Springs). Refreshments, music, lessons (Jr. & Sr. High classes), fellowship and fun are all part of this ministry. Around 30 youth from 4 different school districts attend. The Youth are also involved in mission activities, fundraisers, 30-hour famine, Souper Bowl Sunday and elderly visitation. There are 5 adult youth leaders and many other adult helpers who make this exciting ministry run smoothly. All adults are screened and we follow Safe Sanctuary guidelines in this ministry. |
